risk of its definitive loss and, consequently, the
loss of an important part of our identity that has
been transmitted orally for generations. Faced
with this problem, this study aims to evaluate
the implementation of the Moodle virtual
environment as a new strategy for the transfer
and preservation of ancient Andean
knowledge, seeking its protection and
revitalization, and fostering self-esteem and
identity in new generations through the
knowledge, protection, and dissemination of
their wisdom, techniques, and technologies. A
qualitative, exploratory-descriptive approach
was used, along with classroom observation
and a Likert-type survey (0-5) administered to
19 students from the Quinatoa Andean
Training Center Foundation in the Andean
Medicine and Naturopathy programs. The
constant colonization experienced in the
Andean world has led to the relegation and
overshadowing of ancestral scientific
knowledge by Western sciences, generating a
risk of its definitive loss and, consequently, the
loss of an important part of our identity that has
been transmitted orally for generations. Faced
with this problem, this study aims to evaluate
the implementation of the Moodle virtual
environment as a new strategy for the transfer
and preservation of ancient Andean
knowledge, seeking its protection and
revitalization, and fostering self-esteem and
identity in new generations through the
knowledge, protection, and dissemination of
their wisdom, techniques, and technologies. A
qualitative, exploratory-descriptive approach
was used, along with classroom observation
and a Likert-type survey (0-5) administered to
19 students from the Quinatoa Andean
Training Center Foundation in the Andean
Medicine and Naturopathy programs. The
results showed high levels of satisfaction,
improved content comprehension, and
strengthened participation through the various
tools available in the virtual environment.
Furthermore, some initial difficulties have been
identified among students over 50 years of age,
along with the need for ongoing technical
support. Based on the study's results, it is
concluded that the application of the Moodle
virtual environment within the pedagogical
process constitutes an effective tool that aids in
the management, organization, and
communication of information through the
creation of digital resources and repositories
that will contribute to a better understanding,
safeguarding, and preservation of our social,
scientific, heritage, and cultural memory.

Sumário
A constante colonização vivida no mundo
andino levou ao relegamento e ao eclipsamento
do conhecimento científico ancestral pelas
ciências ocidentais, gerando o risco da sua
perda definitiva e, consequentemente, a perda
de uma parte importante da nossa identidade,
transmitida oralmente por gerações. Face a este
problema, este estudo visa avaliar a
implementação do ambiente virtual Moodle
como uma nova estratégia para a transferência
e preservação do conhecimento ancestral
andino, procurando a sua proteção e
revitalização, e fomentando a autoestima e a
Naturopatia. Os resultados demonstraram
elevados níveis de satisfação, melhor
compreensão do conteúdo e maior participação
através das diversas ferramentas disponíveis no
ambiente virtual. Além disso, foram
identificadas algumas dificuldades iniciais
entre os alunos com mais de 50 anos,
juntamente com a necessidade de apoio técnico
contínuo. Com base nos resultados do estudo,
conclui-se que a aplicação do ambiente virtual
Moodle no processo pedagógico constitui uma
ferramenta eficaz que auxilia na gestão,
organização e comunicação da informação
através da criação de recursos e repositórios
